It has been narrated: "The Messenger of Allah sallallhu'alaihiwasallam raise his finger and I saw him moving it and invoking with it" (Narrated by al-Imam an-Nasaa'i)
This hadith shows that the Messenger of Allah sallallhu'alaihiwasallam move his finger in the tashahhud but how does the Messenger of Allah sallallhu'alaihiwasallam did it? P/S: This writing isn't discussing about whether the Messenger of Allah sallallhu'alaihiwasallam move his finger or not during the tashahhud (it has been narrated by al-Imam Abu Dawud where Shaikh al-Albani consider it as dha'eef) as it is for me a khilaf where I have no authority to say which one is right rather I just point out the hadith about moving the finger.
